The brief
Expoze approached Fresh Web Services to develop an online shop to sell their unique fusion fashion. They required a complete ecommerce solution, one that integrated with Barclay’s ePDQ payment gateway, enabled them to easily self manage their online store, and was intelligent enough to automate the back office provisioning process - invoices, packaging slips, notification emails, accounts reporting tools, user accounts, etc.
We choose to use the Open Source zen-cart shopping cart as the basis for the solution. Zen-cart is a full featured ecommerce system, with the added benefit that it is not a bespoke system - Expoze are not beholden to Fresh Web Services for future development of their online store. This significantly reduces Expoze’ business risk.
The outcomes
The Expoze online shop was taking orders within days of going live. Expoze have an ecommerce system that they are in control of, with the ability to add new products, promotions, etc, at the click of a mouse button.
