EPC Services
The brief
EPC Services (Electrification & Plant Consultancy Services) approached Fresh Web Services to design their new company website on the strength of our existing portfolio. The goal was to design a website that publicised the company’s expertise in railway electrification and plant projects to a new audience, whilst promoting the professionalism of the service they offered. Another goal was to allow the company to take control of their website to rapidly reflect the dynamic growth of the company.
The design
From the outset the design attempted to capture the dynamism of EPC Services without distracting the user from the core corporate message. Dynamically changing images were included while larger images of the company’s installations were used to emphasise their record and achievements in the industry. Each staff member has a separate contact form, which routes through to Outlook. Google maps have been utilised so that customers can locate EPC Services HQ.
In order to facilitate the company taking control of their website, we used the open source Joomla CMS (Content Management System), which allows editors browser based control of the content. In this way, Fresh Web Services have brought enterprise solutions within reach of the SME (small and medium sized enterprised) market.
The site was designed to be standards compliant and to use CSS to govern presentation.
The outcomes
Positive client feedback illustrates that EPC Services have a website that they can be proud of, one that can respond to changes in the market as quickly as EPC Services do themselves, whilst remaining at the forefront of their marketing strategy.
